Every month I list five things I'd like to see added, altered or abolished from the game. Because even though my long time of playing Restaurant Story clearly shows I love it, that doesn't mean it's perfect. Some of the ideas I'll air will be significant game changers while others will be low-key and irrelevant in the eyes of many of you readers.
In no particular order, here are this month's entries...
Restaurant Story is a gaming app made by Storm8. Available on both iOS and Android devices, expect lots of analysis and discussion, as well as occasional news on Restaurant Story 2.

The Garlic Tree replanted
Following on from my refurbishment preview last week, the deed is done and The Garlic Tree has been given a makeover.
It had been just over a year since my last refit, and so it was about time I shook things up. Using my handy blueprint as a guide, it took around an hour on Thursday for me to complete the redesign. Here is the new look of my restaurant:
I managed to stick to the blueprint in the main, with only a few minor alterations. As you can see above the general style has been maintained, with the main section still boasting the four-pillared centrepiece where most of the delicious food is placed. The String Quartet continue to provide the core of the musical backdrop with the Grand Piano and Elegant Harp offering additional entertainment.

The refresh blueprint
It was a year ago this week that I made my penultimate expansion and completely overhauled the layout of The Garlic Tree. In the 12 months since I've made my final expansion and completed the formidable task of mastering every recipe in the game, but the arrangement of my place has broadly remained the same.
So the time has come for a refresh! I've been formulating a new design in my head for a good while and have this week put it to work with a blueprint. Here it is:

Mystery crimes party goals content report
Last week's update brought with it a new set of goals, as we investigated a mystery crime. The goals include an opportunity to unlock a number of entities which otherwise would be unavailable, and it is in this report I shall analyse the quality of said items.
We start this thorough going over with the two new appliances and the recipes they contain. Kudos to Storm8 for the Gas Stove - it's a cooker which actually looks realistic which is something of a rarity in the game. It's not overworked and that's the way I like it! The Mystery Machine is much less inconspicuous with its question mark on top, but at least it's got a cool name!
The real mystery lies in the recipes within. We begin the interrogation with the Gas Stove's offerings.

Christmas content removal announced
It's taken a while to come through, but following on from removals of content from the other holiday themes, a Christmas shedding was announced late yesterday.
Usually these removals are announced alongside the weekly update, but yesterday it came a number of hours later for some reason. Perhaps this was related to the lateness of the update itself going up?
