Suggestions Box (Jun 2016)
Every month I list five things I'd like to see added, altered or abolished from the game. Because even though my long time of playing Restaurant Story clearly shows I love it, that doesn't mean it's perfect. Some of the ideas I'll air will be significant game changers while others will be low-key and irrelevant in the eyes of many of you readers.

Game update 22/06/16
Wednesday has rolled round once more, and this week there's an opportunity to give your diner an artistic edge.
The Pop Art Soup Crate is the solitary addition, with the box costing 24 gems. Each time you purchase it one of eight possible decorations will be headed your way, with only luck to decide how good a result you get.

Father's Day goals content report
Father's Day has come and gone. I hope all the Dads out there had a fine time on Sunday! A fair few were probably treated to a barbecue, and that's exactly the angle which Restaurant Story took for Father's Day. Last week's update put a barbecue slant on Father's Day, and included a new set of goals to enhance the theme.
I'm going to start this report of the unlockables in the goals with the appliances. First up is the Grill, which has the most unimaginative name in the game's history. We've obviously got the Basic Grill already, and there's the Outdoor Grill and Fire Pit Grill too. Seems that this meant Storm8 had no ideas for this new cooker!
As far as building it goes, the Grill needs a new part to construct.

Father's Day goals

Father's Day is almost here, and along with this week's update is an opportunity to give the old man a special occasion, with a new goal set.
You've got 30 days on the clock to complete this quest after which time it will be gone forever. Getting through it all will earn you access to three floor decorations, two appliances and six recipes, so it's well worth giving it a bash.
Let's get to the complete goal steps:

RS2 News (Jun 2016)
Into June we go, and that means I'm obliged to offer a round-up of the latest goings-on in the neverending challenge that is Restaurant Story 2. It's been another busy month, with two goal sets and a cruise event featured, as well as a brand new source of gem production.
But we start with the Mother's Day goals, which were just getting under way when I penned my last summary. This was a very different event in that it almost entirely comprised collecting a single item. Bouquets were the object on everyone's mind for a fortnight, with them popping up nearly every time you cooked a recipe. The number varied between dishes, so part of the trick was to act the detective and unearth which recipes were the biggest producers.

The Chemist, the Cat and the Time Machine: The Finale
The Mad Chemist and his Lab Assistant have been touring time for more than two months. Having spent even longer constructing a Time Machine in the basement of The Garlic Tree restaurant, they've gone on to experience so many different climates and cultures, from the dinosaurs and the Ice Age through to the Wild West and the first modern Olympics.
Their original aim was to search for new and exciting recipes they could bring back home to expand The Garlic Tree's menu. They've certainly achieved that, with a wide range of delicacies now carried with them through the passages of time. But they've also made lots of friends along the way, starting with the Train Conductor at the dawn of time itself and ending with the Jock in the Summer of Love. They've all joined the crew and helped ensure the Chemist and Cat didn't get homesick.
But after the Chemist overjudged the return home and sent the team careering into the future, there's a real sense of trepidation. The group are out of fuel, and worse still appear to have instigated a strange storm at the Restaurant in the Clouds. As much as the diner in the skies is a special place, it's not home.
