In a Restaurant Story first, we have goals released on a Monday! Introduced alongside a
belated update, the Mardi Gras quest is a 15 day event which holds the key to unlocking two floor decorations, one appliance and six recipes.
It is expected that the goals will expire on Monday 13th March so it is recommended that you get through the various steps before this date.
Here is the complete list of goal steps:
At the outset two strands of goals will appear - these are named as
Step 1 and
Sidestep A here. You will need to chip away at both strands in order to progress through the event overall.
Step 1: Mardi Gras
- Accept his Challenge, Chef! ... tap 'Accept' to accept the challenge.

Step 2: Carnival Challenge
- Build 1 Mardi Gras Oven ... this is locked until you complete Sidestep A, costs 30,000 coins and requires 6 Screws, 6 Purple Knobs and 7 Masks to build. Note that the Mask is a new part which can be gifted.
- Serve 15 King Cakes ... this is found on the Mardi Gras Oven and takes 1 hour to prepare.

Upon completion of this task, the
Big Easy Beignets is unlocked.

This 2 hour dish is involved in
Step 3 which is now available.
Step 3: Carnival Round 2
- Serve 15 Big Easy Beignets ... this is found on the Mardi Gras Oven and takes 2 hours to prepare.
- Have 4 Carnival Tables ... these cost 7,000 coins each.
- Have 4 Carnival Chairs ... these cost 11,000 coins each.

After the beignets are all served the third recipe on the Mardi Gras Oven opens up.

Cajun Crawfish is a 5 hour effort and is the focus of
Step 4.
Step 4: Surprise Sea Monster
- Buy 2 Carnival Masks ... these cost 20,000 coins each.
- Serve 15 Cajun Crawfish ... this is found on the Mardi Gras Oven and takes 5 hours to prepare.

There's no prize for completing this step, with your attention set to turn to the Basic Oven in
Step 5...

Step 5: Sour Challenger
- Have 2 Basic Ovens ... this will auto-complete if you already have 2 Basic Ovens.
- Serve 15 Key Lime Pies ... this is found on the Basic Oven and takes 3 hours to prepare.
- Have 2 Bourbon Street Lamps ... these cost 17,000 coins each.

At this point you will receive a
Green Stove as a prize.

This is a variant on the Basic Stove and was already available on the market prior to this update. You'll need to buy another in
Step 6.
Step 6: Local Flavor
- Have 2 Green Stoves ... this costs 5,000 coins and does not require construction. One was given free for completing Step 5. Any Green Stoves already owned will count towards this goal.
- Serve 15 Jambalayas ... this is found on the Basic Stove and takes 4 hours to prepare. Note that any variant of the Basic Stove can be used, including the Green Stove.
- Have 1 King of Mardi Gras ... this costs 28,000 coins. Originally this requirement called for 2 King of Mardi Gras - if you purchased a second in order to complete this step you can submit a ticket for a refund here.

Now you will receive another edition of the Basic Stove.

A
Blue Stove is awarded and once again another is necessary to purchase in
Step 7 which is the final goal.
Step 7: Local Flavor
- Have 2 Blue Stoves ... this costs 20,000 coins and does not require construction. One was given free for completing Step 6. Any Blue Stoves already owned will count towards this goal.
- Serve 15 Gumbo ... this is found on the Basic Stove and takes 7 hours to prepare. Note that any variant of the Basic Stove can be used, including the Blue Stove.
- Have 2 Mardi Gras Feathers... these cost 20,000 coins each.

Queen of Mardi Gras the climactic prize.

- Buy 8 Mardi Gras Walls ... these cost 7,000 coins each.
- Buy 12 Mardi Gras Floors ... these cost 5,000 coins each.

- Visit 12 Community Members ... neighbours are not counted.
- Heave 12 Tips ... tips left at neighbours are counted.
- Have 2 Carnival Counters ... these cost 13,000 coins each.

ReplyDeleteThe basic oven doesn't need parts. You can just buy it. The cost is $2500.
DeleteCarolyn is spot on - there's only one new appliance in these goals, with the second one needed already available in the market and not requiring construction. :)
