Winter fun at The Garlic Tree

It may be bitterly cold, but that doesn't mean we can't have some winter fun, right?! At my restaurant, The Garlic Tree, there's plenty of frosty merriment, largely thanks to the Chill Barista.

Courtesy of this moustached chap you can take in the wintry surroundings whilst staying warm with a hot cup of coffee. You might even spot an Igloo inhabited by polar bears or Jack Frost bringing the snowmen to life! And then once you get hungry trudge on over to the Frosty Feast and Ice Bar. Here there are all manner of treats just waiting to be consumed, and the social scene is great.

Eventually though you are going to freeze, but worry not - My Fair Gran-Gran will beckon you inside where the warmth is the order of the day. The best place for it is over at the panini shop where the Bagel Gal and Hip Techie are running a smooth service.

Only Gran-Gran's very own coffee beans are used here, so you can expect the best mugful of your life! Add in a little something from the Deli Display or the Panini Case and you'll never go cold again.

Meanwhile next door there seems to be an office of sorts, with a pair of familiar faces visiting. The Playful Parasol and Lake Fisher have an appointment with Hanbok Phoebe, but what about? Given the Garden Globe which the Lake Dog and Frisbee Dog are eyeing up is it possible they're in a travel agents? And if so where are they planning to go? To be continued me thinks...

Adjacent to that mysterious set-up is a classic January venue - the gym.

A group of enthusiasts are being put through their paces on the Swing Dance Floor, with the age old mantra of 'no pain no gain'. Nevertheless they look pretty happy to be jigging. The Jock is less enamoured at being here, but having received a personal trainer as a Christmas gift he's got little choice. The Life Coach is an excellent guide though, and is about to show him how its done on the Treadmill.

We finish off back outside, but only after picking up a set of skis from Action Chef Lee.

Ski slopes at The Garlic Tree

Solid navigation skills are going to be a must out here, since there's plenty going on. First of all you'll need to watch out for carefree folks taking on the Slalom Run. And after that there are mounds of snow which would probably be unpleasant to crash into (they look suspiciously like Cloud Loveseats!) Avoid that and you then have to steer clear of the Penguin Slide - those cute little penguins are currently getting their feed from the Sea Trainer.

And we're not done yet! After all of that there's a stretch of ice which is not exactly suitable for skiing on! The Ice Skating Girl is light on her feet, as is the Ice Penguin as they glide around the Snowy Fountain. The Snow Suit is looking rather more tentative as he prepares to make his bow on the slippy stuff - maybe he should just go and join the Winter Couple inside!
