Chinese New Year is not far away, and here is a new set of goals on that very theme introduced alongside the
latest update.
It's the usual structure, so that means we have four floor decorations, two appliances and six recipes all waiting patiently for you to unlock them. This quest is the only way to get hold of them, so be sure to get it done before the clock runs out on Tuesday 20th February.
Here is the complete list of steps:
Bonus goals: 'Year of the Dog' (unlocks after
Step 4):
Step 1: Year's Start
- Buy 8 Brushed Golds ... any wallpaper is acceptable.
- Buy 12 Festival Reds ... any floor tile is acceptable.
- Ask Neighbours for 6 Lucky Oranges ... tap 'Ask' and send requests for these to neighbours.

Once those oranges have all came in you'll be able to purchase the Lunisolar Stove.

This is the first of the two new cookers added with these goals and needs to be bought and built in
Step 2.
Step 2: For Prosperity
- Build 1 Lunisolar Stove ... this costs 42,000 coins and requires 6 Screws, 6 Red Gears and 10 Lunar Knobs to build. The Lunar Knob is a new part which can be gifted and was originally titled 'Moon Knob'.
- Serve 15 Nian Gaos ... this is found on the Lunisolar Stove and takes 2 hours to prepare.

Completion of those tasks unlocks the second recipe on the Lunisolar Stove.

The
Lucky Dumplings is a 4 hour effort and the focus of
Step 3.

- Serve 15 Lucky Dumplings ... this is found on the Lunisolar Stove and takes 4 hours to prepare.
- Buy 2 Lucky Orange Displays ... these cost 20,000 coins each.

Taking 6 hours to prepare, this recipe is the last of the dishes on the Lunisolar Stove.
Step 4: Golden Colours
- Serve 15 Wealthy Spring Rolls ... this is found on the Lunisolar Stove and takes 6 hours to prepare.
- Ask Neighbours for 6 Lucky Coins ... tap 'Ask' and send requests for these to neighbours.

The
Festival Oven houses a further three recipes and holds the key to
Step 5. This is the juncture at which the
bonus goals are activated, with a three-step series of tasks which are independent of the main strand giving you the opportunity to bag a large floor decoration.
Step 5: Togetherness
- Build 2 Festival Ovens ... one of these was given free and fully built for completing Step 4. It costs 45,000 coins and requires 8 Gold Springs, 8 Metal Sheets and 12 Festival Lanterns to build. The Festival Lantern is a new part which can be gifted.
- Serve 15 Family Rice Balls ... this is found on the Festival Oven and takes 1 hour to prepare.

Getting all those rice balls served up will allow you access to the
Longevity Noodles.

A 5 hour entry on the Festival Oven, you'll be preparing these in
Step 6. There's also
Sidestep A to think about from here, with completion of this additional goal (which pops up at this point) required if you are to continue progressing with the main chain of steps.
Step 6: Happiness and Longevity
- Serve 15 Longevity Noodles ... this is found on the Festival Oven and takes 5 hours to prepare.
- Have 1 Red Envelope Girl ... this is locked until you complete Sidestep A and costs 33,000 coins.

After those noodles are all dealt with you're set for the final step.

The 11 hour
Prosperous Fish becomes available and is at the hub of
Step 7. Now is when
Sidestep B appears - again you'll need to undertake its tasks if you are to finish off the main chain.
Step 7: The Earthly Dog
- Serve 12 Prosperous Fish ... this is found on the Festival Oven and takes 11 hours to prepare.
- Have 1 Lucky Dog Statue ... this is locked until you complete Sidestep B and costs 56,000 coins.
And that's it! This is the final goal, with the New Year Family Meal the climactic prize.

Sidestep A: Spring Festival
Available after completing Step 5
- Visit 12 Community Members ... neighbours are not counted.
- Leave 12 Tips ... tips left at neighbours are counted.
- Have 2 Happiness Counters ... these cost 21,000 coins each.

- Have 4 Prosperous Tables ... these cost 19,000 coins each.
- Have 4 Successful Chairs ... these cost 18,000 coins each.

- Serve 10 Pork Belly ... this is found on the Basic Stove and takes 3 hours to prepare.
- Serve 20 Berry Pies ... this is found on the Basic Oven and takes 2 hours to prepare.
- Serve 30 BBQ Wings ... this is found on the Basic Grill and takes 1 hour to prepare.

There aren't any intermediate prizes in these bonus goals so get straight on to
Part 2 when you're done with these.
- Serve 20 Jambalayas ... this is found on the Basic Stove and takes 4 hours to prepare.

- Serve 30 Grilled Ham Musubis ... this is found on the Basic Grill and takes 6 hours to prepare.

Again some extra coins and XP are all that you'll gain from finishing these tasks, but
Part 3 will appear and that most certainly comes with a proper prize!
