Valentine's Day 2015 goals (in full)

Please note that this set of goals expired on Sunday 8th March 2015.

We're into February, and that means that Valentine's Day isn't far away! And included in the latest update is a new set of goals.

Unlocked at level 12, these goals are the only way to obtain three new floor decorations, so are well worth participating in. They expire in 33 days, so are likely to depart forever on Sunday 8th March.

So let's get to it! Here's the complete list of goal steps:

Step 1: Chef Lee's Secret Admirer

  • Buy 7 Modern Romance Wallpapers ... any wallpaper is acceptable.
  • Buy 14 Rose Petals Tiles ... these cost 1,000 coins each.
Step 1: Chef Lee's Secret Admirer
By making those initial purchases you are able to access Step 2.

'Unlocking' of Romantic Stove
Note that unusually the first of the goal appliances - the Romantic Stove - is not unlocked by finishing the opening step. It was always available!

Step 2: I Love You Berry Much

  • Build 1 Romantic Stove ... this costs 20,000 coins and requires 4 Springs and 4 Heart Knobs to build.
  • Serve 12 White Cocoa Berries .. these are found on the Romantic Stove and take 1 hour to prepare.
Step 2: I Love You Berry Much
Once you've served up those berries there's another variation unlocked.

The Dark Cocoa Berries are at the centre of Step 3.

Step 3: A Taste of Love

  • Buy 3 Candle Holders ... these cost 6,000 coins each and can be found on the second page of the wall decorations tab.
  • Serve 15 Dark Cocoa Berries .. these are found on the Romantic Stove and take 3 hours to prepare.
Step 3: A Taste of Love
For putting together those berries the Almond Berries open up.

These are essential for Step 4.

 Step 4: Nuts About You

  • Have 3 Romantic Countertops ... these cost 8,000 coins each.
  • Serve 18 Almond Berries .. these are found on the Romantic Stove and take 5 hours to prepare.
Step 4: Nuts About You
After you've made all those berries the Love Potion Mixer takes centre stage.

'Unlocking' of Love Potion Mixer
Once again this appliance is not actually unlocked here - it was openly available from the outset. At this stage there are two new goals appear. Step 5 continues the main strand while Sidestep A also enters the fray and needs to be completed in order to further progress through the goals.

 Step 5: Love Potion Commotion

  • Build 2 Love Potion Mixers ... these cost 25,000 coins each and require 6 Springs, 6 Screws, 6 Glass Hearts and 6 Red Knobs to build.
  • Prepare 20 Love Potion #3 ... these are found on the Love Potion Mixer and take 4 hours to prepare.
  • Serve 20 Love Potion #3
Step 5: Love Potion Commotion
When that first batch of love potions are served up, the second is unlocked.

The Love Potion #5 is integral to Step 6, which is unleashed only after the completion of Sidestep A, as is Sidestep B.

 Step 6: Chi for Cupid

  • Prepare 25 Love Potion #5 ... these are locked until you complete Step 5 and take 6 hours to prepare.
  • Serve 25 Love Potion #5

Step 6: Chi for Cupid
For dealing with the second love potion variant the third and final one becomes available.

Unlocking of Love Potion #9
The Love Potion #9 is at the heart (get it!) of the climactic goal, Step 7.

Step 7: A Passion for Potions

  • Prepare 30 Love Potion #9 ... these are found on the Love Potion Mixer and take 8 hours to prepare.
  • Serve 30 Love Potion #9
Step 7: A Passion for Potions
This is the concluding goal, with the final prize being the Romantic Lounge.

Unlocking of Romantic Lounge
Going against the grain, you don't actually get given this 4x4 floor decoration free of charge but have to buy it for 80,000 coins. It can be found towards the end of the floor decorations tab.

 Sidestep A: A Secret Revealed
 Available after completing Step 4

  • Visit 10 Community Members ... neighbours are not counted.
  • Leave 10 Tips ... tips left at neighbours are counted.

    1. Unfortunately they won't be counted.

It's a strange way that TeamLava have set-up these goals - normally you can't access the second appliance from the start. If they really want us to be able to build the second appliance ahead of time then it would have been sensible to keep all three of the recipes on it locked until the relevant goals appear. :)

  3. I found these goals to be boring, but maybe I'm just bored with the same 'ol, same 'ol goal format, since it only varies slightly between goal sets. I didn't really like any of the new content except for the candle holders, which is small. The romantic dividers look like one of those modern slim boomboxes that you can hook an iPhone up to. LOL The pond is dumb. If I have something so massive I would want more height to it. I think I would have enjoyed a smaller version much more. The final prize, I dunno, it just wasn't exciting to me. And love potions? Cute as the idea is, who orders love potion from a restaurant? No one. You go to the metaphysical store in Philadelphia for that! At least that's the only place I've seen them for sale. I'm really hoping the next goal set unlocks some nicer items. Do we have any holidays coming up?

    1. I have to agree with your very first sentence - I'm pretty fed up of the same goal formats every single time. It obviously makes it easier for TeamLava to just 'copy and paste' the format every month, but some variation would be refreshing.

As for the content, I actually quite liked most of it. The love potions were a bit outlandish but otherwise most of the stuff is quite nice in my opinion. Each to their own I guess!

I think that's it for the holiday themes now. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine's are the big four, and now we're at the end of the cycle. Into March there's always a fair chance of Spring content popping up, but that's really the only suggestion I have. We got basketball goals last March so who knows what it will be this year! :)
