Laboratory goals (in full)

Please note that these goals expired on Thursday 15th September 2016.

This week there was a second successive lab themed update, with an array of new content. But this second batch also came with goals, meaning that work needs to be done in order to unlock some of the decor.

In all there are three floor decorations, one appliance (at the time of writing!) and five recipes (again, at the time of writing!) which are padlocked until progress is made through the quest. There are 30 days available to complete all the stages, meaning that Thursday 15th September is the likely deadline for finishing it all off.

Let's get to it. The goals are entitled 'Phoebe's Science Project', with the complete list of goal steps outlined below:

 Step 1

• Build a Food Lab Oven ... this costs 30,000 coins. Note that at present this appliance does not require construction. Also, the Sonic Food Lab Oven can be used to reduce cook times by 20% but is not necessary for completion of the goals.
• Prepare Polar Powder Puffs (x1) ... this is found on the Food Lab Oven. Note that only the 'preparation' stage is needed.
• Buy Atomic Paper (x5) ... these cost 5,000 coins each.

Step 1

That goal should take a matter of minutes to complete, and consequently the prize is rather underwhelming.

Completion of Step 1

Just 2,500 coins and 70 XP for your efforts - better prizes are to come, starting in Step 2.

 Step 2

• Buy Cooking Makes Us Human ... this wall decoration costs 10,000 coins.
• Serve Polar Powder Puffs (x4) ... these are found on the Food Lab Oven and take 1 hour to prepare. Note that since only the 'serving' stage is needed, the Polar Powder Puff prepared in Step 1 can be counted here when served. If you have more than the required number of Food Lab Ovens then consider preparing additional Polar Powder Puffs as a further three need to be served in Step 3.

Step 2

Now the Constellation Cupcakes are unlocked.

This is the second dish on the Food Lab Oven and features in Step 3.

 Step 3

• Serve Polar Powder Puffs (x3) ... these are found on the Food Lab Oven and take 1 hour to prepare.
• Serve Constellation Cupcakes (x6) ... these are found on the Food Lab Oven and take 2 hours to prepare.

Step 3

After getting those puffs and cupcakes all out, the padlock is dropped on the last of the recipes on the Food Lab Oven.

Unlocking of Nuclear Nachos

The Nuclear Nachos is a six hour dish and is involved in Step 4.

 Step 4

• Visit Community Members (x5) ... neighbours are not counted.
• Leave Tips (x10) ... tips left at neighbours are counted.
• Serve Nuclear Nachos (x10) ... these are found on the Food Lab Stove and take 6 hours to prepare. If you have more than the required number of Food Lab Ovens then consider preparing additional Nuclear Nachos as a further 15 need to be served in Step 5.

Step 4

Following your efforts traipsing around the community, the Food Lab Stove becomes available.

This is the second new appliance, with one given fully built. Another will need to be constructed in Step 5. At this stage Sidestep A appears, and will need to be completed to allow continuing progression with the main strand of goals.

 Step 5

• Build a Food Lab Stove ... this costs 30,000 coins and requires 6 Steel, 4 Stainless Steel Screws and 4 Tempered Glass to build. Note that the Stainless Steel Screws and Tempered Glass are both new parts which can be gifted.
• Serve Elemental Escargot (x25) ...  these are found on the Food Lab Stove and take 2 hours to prepare.
• Serve Nuclear Nachos (x15) ... these are found on the Food Lab Oven and take 6 hours to prepare.

Step 5

Once this step is completed the second dish on the Food Lab Stove is unveiled.

Unlocking of Newtonian Beef Broth

The Newtonian Beef Broth is a 5 hour recipe which is involved in Step 6.

 Step 6

• Have Lab Coat Hanger (x1) ... this floor decoration is locked until you complete Sidestep A and costs 14,000 coins.
• Serve Elemental Escargot (x10) ... these are found on the Food Lab Stove and take 2 hours to prepare.
• Serve Newtonian Beef Broth (x18) ... these are found on the Food Lab Stove and take 5 hours to prepare.

Step 6

Now the CoFe2 Compound Cake becomes available.

This is the last of the recipes aboard the Food Lab Stove and features heavily in the final goal, Step 7.

 Step 7

• Have Rainbow Veggie Garden (x1) ... this floor decoration is locked until you complete Sidestep B and costs 90,000 coins.
• Visit Community Members ... neighbours are not counted.
• Serve CoFe2 Compound Cake (x24) ... these are found on the Food Lab Stove and take 8 hours to prepare.

Step 7

This is the last goal in this quest, with the Drink Lab the final reward.

One is given for free, with further purchases of this floor decoration coming at 64 gems each.

 Sidestep A: A Gift for Phoebe
 Available after completing Step 4

• Have Lab Chair Y (x5) ... these cost 7,000 coins each.
• Ask Neighbours for Lab Reports (x8) ... tap 'Ask' and send requests for these to neighbours.
• Serve Constellation Cupcakes (x20) ... these are found on the Food Lab Oven and take 2 hours to prepare.

Sidestep A: A Gift for Phoebe

By finishing off each element of this goal, the Lab Coat Hanger is unlocked.

• Have Lab Counter Y (x5) ... these cost 10,000 coins each.
• Ask Neighbours for Caffeine (x10) ... tap 'Ask' and send requests for these to neighbours.
• Serve Polar Powder Puffs (x30) ... these are found on the Food Lab Oven and take 1 hour to prepare.

Sidestep B: Agnes' Colorful Plants

For getting through this sidestep another floor decoration loses its padlock.

The 3z3 sized Rainbow Veggie Garden needs to be bought in the climactic goal, Step 7.
