It's the most wonderful time of the year! Along with the
most recent update come the Christmas goals, and with 23 days on the clock you've got ample time to complete it. However there's only 11 sleeps until Christmas (at the time of writing) so you'll need to get moving if you want to get your restaurant decked out before the big day!
There are three floor decorations, an appliance and five recipes exclusively available via the quest, so I suggest diving in in the same manner with which you'll be diving into the present opening on Christmas morning!
Here is the complete list of steps for 'Home for the Holidays':
Step 1
- Get Homemade Oven (x1) ... this costs 30,000 coins and does not require construction. The Sonic Homemade Oven can be used to reduce cook times by 20% but is not necessary for completion of the goals.
- Prepare Wrapped Fruitcake (x1) ... this is found on the Homemade Oven and takes 3 hours to prepare. Note that only the 'preparation' stage is needed.
- Get Winter Wallpaper (x5) ... these cost 7,000 coins each.

There's no prize for completing this opening goal except for some bonus coins and XP.

Step 2
- Get Home Sweet Home (x1) ... costs 11,000 coins.
- Serve Wrapped Fruitcake (x4) ... this is found on the Homemade Oven and takes 3 hours to prepare. Note that since only the 'serving' stage is needed, the Wrapped Fruitcake prepared in Step 1 can be counted here when served. Any leftovers can count towards a requirement in Step 3.

The
Homemade Ham is a rare 16 hour dish which appears as a requirement in
Step 4.

- Visit Community Members (x5) ... neighbours are not counted.
- Leave Tips (x10) ... tips left at neighbours are counted.
- Serve Homemade Ham (x10) ... this is found on the Homemade Oven and takes 16 hours to prepare. Note that any leftovers from your last batch can count towards requirements in Step 5.

Following completion of this step, the Homemade Mixer becomes available.

This is the second new appliance featured in this goal set, and will need to be bought and built in
Step 5. Meanwhile,
Sidestep A now appears and will need to be completed in order to progress all the way through the main strand of the quest.
Step 5
- Build a Homemade Mixer ... this costs 30,000 coins and requires 4 Family Spoons, 4 Family Forks and 6 Sturdy Wood to build. Note one is NOT given free for completing Step 4. The Sonic Homemade Mixer can be used to reduce cook times by 20% but is not necessary for completion of the goals.
- Serve Persimmon Pudding (x25) ... this is found on the Homemade Mixer and takes 2 hours to prepare.
- Serve Homemade Ham (x15) ... this is found on the Homemade Oven and takes 16 hours to prepare.

After the puddings and hams are all served up you'll unlock the next offering on the Homemade Mixer.

Spiced Cider is a 4 hour recipe which is heavily involved in
Step 6.

- Have a Yule Log Fireplace ... this is locked until you complete Sidestep A and costs 20,000 coins.
- Serve Persimmon Pudding (x10) ... this is found on the Homemade Mixer and takes 2 hours to prepare.
- Serve Spiced Cider (x18) ... this is found on the Homemade Mixer and takes 4 hours to prepare.

- Serve Holiday Eggnog (x24) ... this is found on the Homemade Mixer and takes 10 hours to prepare.
