Derby day goals (in full)

Please note that this set of goals expired on Wednesday 10th June 2015.

In with this week's update is a new set of goals pertaining to horse racing.

There are five items from said update which can only be attained by working through these goals. Three are floor decorations and two are appliances, including six new recipes. The game's developers have allocated 29 days to complete the goals before they vanish for good, so make sure you're done by Wednesday 10th June.

Here is the complete list of steps:

  • Buy 12 Twin Spires Wallpapers ... any wallpaper is acceptable.
  • Buy 14 Whitewash Tiles ... these cost 750 coins each.

  2. I just wonder how did you manage to finish the first dish goal so quickly? How many stoves did you build?

    1. I managed to build six of the Kentucky Stove last night. It all comes down to your neighbours, and I'm fortunate that mine are fantastic at responding to requests promptly.

Something I try to do is not accept any gifts on goals day until the update comes. That way my 20 precious gift slots are all still free and I can maximise the number of new parts I can take in.

Another useful note is with regards to how many neighbours you send requests to. I've got well over 60 neighbours but only ever send requests to 20-25 at a time. If you do much more then there tends to be problems with your system clogging up, and you end up gathering fewer parts.

However at the end of the day you don't need to build loads of appliances to get through the goals. There's enough time to finish well before the deadline. I'm just always in a rush so I can get this post updated! :)

  3. Can't believe I will finally have use for all those old pocket watches and inks I've stockpiled! That's a nice surprise from the game developers. My lack of gifting strategy has kind of paid off. Lol.

    1. It's certainly unexpected to have the Pocket Watch and Ink reused. The Ink in particular screamed of a one time part, but there you have it. :)

  5. I've been out of touch with the game and started the goals a few days late.... everyone was already sending roses, but I still needed the first part. LOL

I'm a fan of the band "The Black Eyed Peas" and thought step 2 might be referencing their song "Let's Get it Started", but maybe that's just a coincidence. I hope it was intentional!!

  6. Just wondering, if you're a newbie to the game, all of these goals and access to the appliances are not made available to new players?

    1. I'm afraid not Geraldine. Once a goal set expires the content unlocked through it is no longer possible to obtain.

There have very occasionally been old goal items offered for a limited time so there's always an outside chance you may get a shot at the stuff some time! :)
