It's now approaching two months since the Valentine's Edition of Restaurant Story was released, and so I feel the time has come to speculate on what could be the next special edition.
The obvious answer is an Easter Edition as this is the next big holiday coming up at the end of March. A set of goals wouldn't be hard to draw up for this. For example, 'the Easter Bunny has lost his Easter eggs and needs your help to find them'. Then each goal would 'find' one of the Easter eggs for the poor guy.
However there's never been an Easter Edition before, so this seems a less likely possibility. I do expect some sort of update for Easter though, even if it's just a regular one.
Another option would be a Spring Edition. We've had some Spring related updates recently (the Zen theme specifically) and there are plenty of items which TeamLava could include, particularly elements of the natural world such as flowers, plants and cute little animals.
Other than those two, I'm struggling to come up with many ideas for new Editions. There's always the chance of a set of goals revolving around a theme not relevant to the time of year just like the recent Asian Goals, but these aren't really worthy of a new app.
Then again, a sparse Carnival Editon was released on Android last month, so perhaps TeamLava won't worry about being relevant to the time of year.
Also, it look like we're not getting any St Patrick's Day content this year, which is a shame. With St Andrew's Day (Scotland) and St David's Day (Wales) already passed, any hopes of a major update involving a patron saint are pinned on St George's Day (England) which isn't until 26 April.
Whatever is coming, I'm sure it will be good!
