Notification for latest Spring update
|
We hadn't had a box for Spring yet, so it was only inevitable we'd get one. The Gardener's Chest is a 24 gem investment which will result in the gain of any one of nine possible prizes. The biggest and best of the items are the most rare, so be warned!
There's nothing else new to report this week, so let's get on with it. From what Fat Bear and I have gathered thus far, this is the distribution of prizes:
First Prize (1% chance)
- Spring Garden
- Glass Garden
- Gardener's Shed
- Planter's Ladder
- Potted Biker
- Floral Chair
- Moss Statue
- Spilled Flowers
- Piled Plants
The folks at TeamLava have kindly posted an image on their blog with some of the prizes shown:

Pictured at the front from left to right are the Floral Chair, Moss Statue and Spilled Flowers, while there are two Piled Plants on either side of the Glass Garden.
Update: Stormie's Store has now been updated and includes a few of the box prizes, including the Spring Garden.
Of those decorations I've sighted, the Planter's Ladder is my favourite. A selection of flowers in pots on three shelves, it's the little blue watering can to the side which completes it. And being a third prize, it's certainly attainable.
The Spilled Flowers looks to be pretty nice too, and is a very rare 2x2 sized item for a fourth prize. On the other hand the Moss Statue and Floral Chair don't really stand out as special, which is what box prizes should be all about.
Likewise the Glass Garden, although 3x3 and stuffed with detail, is not on my 'must get' list. It's decent enough, but isn't on a grand enough scale to gamble for when I've got a number of large garden items already.
It's true that all of these items would be at home in my garden section, but I'm not convinced enough of them are worthy of parting with 24 gems to take the risk. Plus there are a couple of other factors putting me off. Firstly, the Picnic Surprise box from last Spring is still hanging around with its contents freely available under the floor decorations tab. So if I really wanted to add to my outdoor area then I could buy one of those pieces without the blind purchase.
Also, as I've already touched upon, my garden's actually well stocked with Spring-related stuff. The massive Blossom Grove and Tea Party goal prizes are currently taking pride of place, with the Picnic Painting, Playful Parasol and Spring Picnic all currently out too. This means there's not enough space for my Spring Lunch LTO, let alone any new additions from the Gardener's Box!
I wonder if this will be the last Spring update? We've had five in all now, plus an Easter theme. I suspect some Summer content could be on the way, not least because Bakery Story got a Tiki update this week. How I'd love to develop my currently underwhelming beach theme in Restaurant Story that's kicking around in storage!
Looks like your tower of flowers is called Piled Plants, though they should obviously hire you to name these things. There's also the Potted Biker, which has a bike being ridden by a guy made of plants? Kind of weird.
ReplyDeleteAnd what you describe as a Planters Garden, I'm seeing as the Planter's Ladder? Right down to the blue watering can...
I'll try to finish this out by Friday :) Rawr!
Thanks once again Fat Bear!
DeleteIt would be interesting to see the Potted Biker - it sounds very strange indeed. It's a shame the photo on the TeamLava Blog couldn't include all the prizes for our viewing pleasure.
I've changed the name of the watering can item to the Planter's Ladder.
And best of luck tracking down the remaining prizes! :)
Hey I always read your blog. Its great! I wish they expanded it more. I don't see the big deal. Would you like to add me? Love to see your place. ID:KKEV2421
