Autumn 2014 goals (in full)

That nippy chill in the air means it's definitely Autumn, but you can soon warm up with a new set of goals which came with this week's update.

The Autumn 2014 goals are the only way to unlock five items, namely two appliances and three floor decorations. There are 27 days allocated for finishing all the tasks (seven less than usual), meaning that Monday 8th December is likely to be the cut-off date.

Without any further ado, here's the complete list of goal steps:

Step 1: Gratitude for Gran Gran

  • Buy 7 Autumn Leaves Wallpapers ... any wallpaper is acceptable.
  • Buy 14 Autumn Square Tiles  ... these cost 500 coins each.
Step 1: Gratitude for Gran Gran
By making those initial purchases, the Thankful Oven is unleashed.

This is the first of two appliances involved in these goals and is first implemented in Step 2.

 Step 2: Sweeter than Pie

  • Have 1 Thankful Oven ... these cost 25,000 coins each and require 2 Gears, 4 Screws and 4 Springs to build.
  • Serve 12 Sweet Potato Pies ... these are found on the Thankful Oven and take 30 minutes to prepare.

Now the Cranberry Pie becomes available.

This is the second dish on the Thankful Oven and is at the centre of Step 3.

 Step 3: Cranberry Classic

  • Serve 14 Cranberry Pies ...  these are found on the Thankful Oven and take 45 minutes to prepare.
  • Buy 1 Autumn Door ... this costs 20,000 coins and can be found at the start of the wall decorations tab.
Step 3: Cranberry Classic
For your efforts with the Cranberry Pie, the third and final of the Thankful Oven recipes is unlocked.

Unlocking of Pecan Pie
The Pecan Pie is the focus of Step 4.

 Step 4: A Perfect Pie

  • Serve 16 Pecan Pies ... these are found on the Thankful Oven and take 1 hour to prepare.
  • Have 4 Painted Fall Counters ... these cost 10,000 coins each.
Step 4: A Perfect Pie
Once those pies are dealt with the second new appliance loses its padlock.

Unlocking of Turkey Cooker
One of the Turkey Cooker is given to you free, but you'll need to buy and build another in Step 5.

 Step 5: A Thanksgiving Helper

  • Have 2 Turkey Cookers ... these cost 30,000 coins each and one is given free for completing Step 4. They require 6 Purple Knobs, 4 Metal Sheets, 4 Paint and 6 Black Kettles to build.
  • Prepare 20 Turkey Meatloaves ... these are found on the Turkey Cooker and take 3 hours to prepare.
  • Serve 20 Turkey Meatloaves
Step 5: A Thanksgiving Helper
After the meatloaves are all done the first of the unlockable floor decorations becomes available.

Unlocking of Pilgrim Planter
You'll need to purchase two Pilgrim Planters in Sidestep A. At this point things get a little complicated. Sidestep B is activated, but Step 6 won't open up until you complete Sidestep A. That's not a problem though since you've now got everything you need to finish Sidestep A.

Step 6: A Fall Casserole Creation
 Available after completing Sidestep A

  • Prepare 25 Turkey Casseroles ... these are found on the Turkey Cooker and take 4 hours to prepare.
  • Serve 25 Turkey Casseroles
  • Have 3 Fall Dividers ... these are locked until you complete Sidestep B and cost 8,000 coins each. Find them towards the end of the floor decorations tab.
Step 6: A Fall Casserole Creation
Now that those casseroles are served up, the Rosemary Turkey unlocks.

  • Serve 30 Rosemary Turkey
Step 7: A Thank You for Gran Gran
This is the concluding goal, with the Thanksgiving Feast rewarded as the big prize.

  1. I'm glad Autumn 2014 goals have arrived but I'm disappointed in the very short cooking times of 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 1 hour for the first stove. It will have taken me about 9 hours to complete cooking in the Thankful Oven. With the longer cooking times of previous goals (for example - 4, 6, and 10 hours) there was a greater sense of satisfaction at mastering the stove.

I imagine the short cooking times are to make up for the late release of the goals. This would make it easier to complete them in the 27 days allotted.

    1. I completely understand your point of having greater satisfaction in mastering the new stove. I'm lucky, and with my level and coin count I can buy as many stoves as I want and master quickly, however these short cooking times would be an Autumn dream for lower level players who might only be able to afford just one or maybe two of this rather expensive little stove; allowing them to finish the goals too :)

    2. I reckon DonY is spot on - I think the recipe durations have been shortened to compensate for the shorter time we have to complete the goals. This leads me to believe that this goals update was supposed to come last week (which would have made sense as the first Wednesday of November) but for some unknown reason had to be pushed back a week.

At least the short time period for the goals has provided some assurance that we're going to get goals (presumably festive themed) on the first Wednesday of December.

Back to the shorter lengths of dish, I sort of share the disappointment. It reduces the difficulty of the challenge somewhat and means the fun and games will be all over much sooner. However for the purposes of writing goal posts on here it's a dream as I can get a full list of the steps much more quickly! :)

  2. these goals are pointless.. wasting money and getting reward for just a few thousand coins and exp which u can easily earn if u cook enough food in about an hour.. disappointed.

anyway, you can add me at : chris180298 . :) i tip daily, respond to helps, and send gifts daily as well. also applicable on BAKERY STORY as the same ID.

great and helpful post, thanks fam. peace

    1. The goals are pointless?! I have to disagree there Christine! The coin and XP rewards do tend to be pretty rubbish considering the amount that needs to be spent to obtain them, but that's not the primary purpose of the goals. This is an opportunity to unlock a number of new items including six recipes. And because they're all part of a set of goals, they all cost coins - no gems in sight! :)

    2. Not only the new recipes/appliances...it just keeps the game fresh for people who are sitting at level 99 with coins just piling up. I enjoy being a good neighbor, and I'm working on mastering all of the recipes, but these goals are a fun diversion. For me, anyway....your mileage may vary, of course. :-)

  3. Excuse me. I am a new hand in RS.

If I lose past goals just like "pizza goal" and "river goal".etc
Are there any chance to finish and gain gifts?
The pizza delivery is so cute!
But I cannot gain it (sad)

    BTW, your blog is perfect.
Thank's for your sharing. Have a nice day

    1. Sadly once a set of goals expires that's it gone for good. However very recently the game's developers have been providing some limited time offers which means there's always an outside chance you might get a shot at an expired goal item. For example the Action Ice Cream Maker LTO this week is from an old set of goals, so you never know!

I'm pleased you like the blog! :)

  4. Too bad the attractive Autumn Flowers were not a floor decoration. For a while I thought they were and went looking for them and then realized they were invisible gifts sent to neighbors to meet their goal.

    1. That's an easy mistake to make!

It's true that those Autumn Flowers are a cute bouquet and would have made a nice item to actually own. Considering the effort that probably went into designing them it's a bit of a shame that a brief glimpse in the goals is all we'll get of them. Unless there are plans to release it in upcoming updates... :)

  5. Whenever an appliance is given to me for free,as soon as I get it my appliances lock again.I'm never given the chance to buy the other, can you tell me why?

    1. You must have the maximum number of appliances for your level already on the floor. You need to store one of the existing ones by selecting it while in design mode and tapping 'Store'. That should unlock your appliances tab again! :)
