Every month I list five things I'd like to see added, altered or abolished from the game. Because even though my long time of playing Restaurant Story clearly shows I love it, that doesn't mean it's perfect. Some of the ideas I'll air will be significant game changers while others will be low-key and irrelevant in the eyes of many of you readers.
You can share your own suggestions too via the comments. If I like them, I may even include them in the next instalment!
In no particular order, here are this month's entries...
Restaurant Story is a gaming app made by Storm8. Available on both iOS and Android devices, expect lots of analysis and discussion, as well as occasional news on Restaurant Story 2.

Theater goals (in full)
Please note that this set of goals expired on Tuesday 6th June 2017.
It's off to the theatre for us with a new set of goals now hitting the big screen! Included with the most recent update is a fresh batch of challenges designed to keep us all very busy.
There are two floor decorations, a counter, two appliances and six recipes all awaiting discovery along the path forged by these goals, and with 15 days on the clock you have until Tuesday 6th June to unlock them all.
Here is the complete list of steps:

Game update: 23/05/17
Be it a soppy romance or a goosebump worthy horror, we're headed for the movies this week with a new update which also includes a new set of goals.
After no update at all last week we have a fairly bumper edition this week. This is now the third straight new content update we've had which has included a batch of goals, meaning that despite updates having grown more sporadic recently, we're still being well fed with stuff to do.
All in there are 14 additions this week which is pretty high. Here's the complete list:

Crate Catalogue launched
Today I am proud to launch a new feature on the Restaurant Story Adventures blog - the Crate Catalogue.
Before I go any further I'd like to provide some background as to why I've gone about creating this tool. On Black Friday last year Storm8 provided a 50% sale on virtually every box in the game, past and present. With nearly 70 crates marked down, it was critical for players to take some time to ponder how to spend their hard-earned gems.
The main source for browsing box prizes is undoubtedly the Master Box List over on the Storm8 Forum. That thread has gone through a number of iterations over the years as new boxes are introduced, and it remains to this day a vital resource for crate openers.
So with the Black Friday clock ticking down, I naturally headed over to the Master Box List to consider my options. But with the details of each box listed across a small number of posts and in mostly a random order, it quickly became a tiresome and frustrating task to locate the numerous crates which tickled my fancy.
So over the last while I have been developing the Crate Catalogue (located at the bottom of this post and here). This is a similar resource to the Master Box List which aims to provide details of all the items available across all the crates in Restaurant Story. However instead of scrolling madly through a never-ending list, the catalogue allows you to simply click on the crate that catches your eye and be transported to a separate specific page.
The boxes are listed in two separate groups. First up are the permanent boxes which are available to purchase throughout the year. Then comes a smaller group of temporary boxes which are only available to purchase in limited time re-releases, usually tying into some seasonal theme.
The Crate Catalogue allows you to simply click on the crate that catches your eye and be transported to a separate specific page. Here there are complete details on your box of choice, including the box distribution list that appears (often incomplete!) in my update posts. Any images that I have managed to obtain are also included, with the aforementioned Master Box List and the Storm8 Blog the main sources. And if that wasn't enough I've cobbled together some miscellaneous information for each crate such as the initial release date and any special sales within which the crate has been included.
With this being a new feature, I fully expect that there are one or two errors. Should you discover any issues, be it a bad link, incorrect information or anything else, do please leave a comment and I'll look to address the problem.
And in the same vein, if you can fill in any gaps or clarify any unknowns, please do! The forum's Master Box List has benefited from a lot of player input down the years, and for that we are all grateful. The same applies with this tool - any additional information is very much welcomed.
And remember, if you're planning on opening a box, you may wish to take a read of my study of the prize level probabilities posted last month.
I hope you find this resource useful! Happy browsing!
